Blue Moon

Dress & Bow Belt- Forever 21
Jacket- American Eagle
Heels- Cole Haan

I apologize, I haven't been around much.  School is such a drag, and a time consumer, as some of you can relate.  Hopefully I can keep up.
Until then, here are some new pieces I've acquired.

Burnt Sienna

Burnt sienna was one of my favorite colors in my Crayola box. I'm not sure if this delectable orange color IS burnt sienna, but for some reason, I just had this overwhelming feeling of burnt sienna. Ah, tis' summer in my bones. This romper is just the thing I needed for hot summer romps on the beach or breezy bike rides.  When I saw it at a vintage/resale store I thought it was gorgeous, and although I soon realized after research that it wasn't really vintage at all, rather Urban Outfitter's collaboration with Samantha Pleet, it didn't matter in the end. You see, I've been trying to expand my clothing palette, and I think this lovely burnt orange peel colour is just the piece I need to further this quest.

And the way you look tonight....

I'm feeling rather wonderful tonight!
There's nothing like good food, warm company, and grand grand lights (especially one spectacular outdoor chandelier in particular) to make one feel so satisfied with the riches of life.
I was sad as Cinderella for the night to end.
Warm wishes to everyone in the blogosphere! Ha! :D

I want  polaroid camera NOW. GAH.
And I would also like that skimpy but oh so cute underwear-looking bikini they have at urban outfitters. But the price is ridiculously high and my funds, at the moment, are quite very low.
Ah well.
As you can see, I'm wearing a varsity jacket. It's ever so warm, and I love the color.

Your love is my drug AND pillowcase dresses

*(Ignore the scary eyes in the second picture)

The most tiring week/weekend ever has passed.
Too bad that there is no rest from this madness until June!
For my English class, we're doing a Transcendentalism project, and for a part of mine, I'm going to make clothes out of old materials, such as a pillowcase, t-shirt, feedsack, etc. (I would explain how dressmaking relates to Thoreau, but that is another story for another time.) As you can see, I made a pillowcase dress. Originally I tried looking up dress patterns for pillowcases but they were all a little childish. I didn't like the sleeves on any of the dresses I found. So, inspired by the Sassy version, I've made the sleeves flutter-like, which I think looks more whimsical.
Just cutting and acessorizing.
Oh! And next time I'll post the bikini I made from an old tshirt.
